Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy

IASTT is a form of focused fascial work using a stainless steel instrument which allows a preciseness, sensitivity and depth that cannot be accomplished with the hands alone. These instruments make it easier to detect and treat fascial dysfunction by magnifying the abnormalities (scars, restrictions and adhesions) in the fascia and making it easier to locate the area to treat. Using a tool focuses the force through an area smaller then your finger with less friction allowing for a more efficient treatment. The goal is to trigger an inflammatory response in order to stimulate a more functional, less painful healing.

Reflexology is an ancient healing art which is over 3000 years old. Its roots go back to India, Egypt, and China. The therapy is primarily done on the feet and hands but can also be done on the face. There are reflexes on the hands ,feet and face which correspond to every organ and system of the body. Through stimulation and application of pressure on these reflexes, toxins are broken up which are stored in the tissues, helping body to release any blockages in the energy pathways which may be present. Reflexology promotes balance within the body, may help increase circulation, help with foot pain, and relieve stress within the body.

Not only does it work with the physical body, it works with our energy centres, known as Chakras, which help the body to improve overall function on every level.
